TCU Moves into Sixth Place at Big 12 Championship

RHODES, Iowa -- Alexandra Bonetti carded a 71 while Sanna Nuutinen shot a 72 to help TCU move into sixth place after Saturday's second round of the Big 12 Championship.
The start of the second round was delayed 30 minutes due to frost, before turning into a 47-degree day. Friday's opening round was marked by cold and windy conditions. All nine teams lowered their scores dramatically on Saturday.
TCU's second-round 294 was 32 strokes below Friday's 326 and the fifth-best team score on the day.
Bonetti and April McCoy are the top Horned Frogs individually as they are both tied for 11th at 153. Nuutinen is tied for 15th with a 154.
Bonetti recorded her second-best round of the season and third-lowest score of her career. The sophomore from Paris, France, birdied two of her opening three holes on the back nine to finish 1 under par. She totaled three birdies on the day.
Nuutinen had a team-best five birdies, including three in a five-hole stretch.
McCoy posted two birdies on the back nine in contributing a 75 for TCU.
Kortnie Maxoutopoulis shot par on each of her final 10 holes en route to a 76.
No. 23 Baylor sits atop the team standings with a 605, one stroke ahead of No. 28 Iowa State and No. 17 Oklahoma State. The Bears' Lauren Taylor is the individual leader with a 2-under 142 for a three-shot lead.
