LAS VEGAS, Nev. - After defeating Air Force in the opening round of the Mountain West Conference Tournament, the TCU volleyball team will take on No. 21 nationally-ranked BYU on Thanksgiving Day. The Frogs come into the match after seeing sophomore Talaya Whitfield (19 kills, 10 digs) and Nirelle Hampton (37 assists, 10 digs) record double-doubles versus Air Force.

In the opening round of the MWC Tournament, TCU downed Air Force in four games at the Thomas and Mack Center on the campus of UNLV. Whitfield's 19 kills was a new career high and her double-double was her seventh of the season.

Hampton's double-double was her second most significant performance versus the Falcons this season. The freshman setter recorded a triple-double in the teams first meeting of the season, tallying 41 assists, 15 digs and 11 kills.

The Frogs also welcomed back junior Anna Vaughn, who has been out of action since Oct. 29. The Southlake Carroll, Texas, product did not miss a beat, posting 11 kills and three service aces.

BYU holds the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament and has already grabbed the conference regular-season championship after producing a 14-2 MWC record and a 23-2 overall record. The Cougars are 2-0 versus the Frogs this season and hold a 6-0 all-time series advantage.

TCU is 1-of-12 teams to win a game against BYU this season.

The Thanksgiving Day match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. (CDT) and will be televised on CSTV which is available on Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Charter, Adelphia and Insight cable systems, among others, and is also available on DirecTV (channel 610) and DISH Network (Channel 152).
