FORT WORTH, Texas - Lauren Otto will join the TCU volleyball program in the fall of 2006, head coach Prentice Lewis announced today. Hailing from Arlington, Texas, Otto possesses a decorated resume of high school and club accomplishments.

"This is a great pickup for TCU," states Lewis. "Lauren is an athlete who we are very excited about. Her experience is a plus for TCU and she has already played at such a high level. Her accolades speak for themselves."

Under the tutelage of Sue Cauley at Arlington High School, Otto earned 2002 Newcomer of the Year honors and helped the Colts to a District 8-5A championship. Continuing to grow on her accomplishments as a freshman, Otto was named Arlington's Most Improved Player in 2003. In 2004, she was named to the all-state (7-5A classification) team and co-Hitter of the District.

Other awards for Otto include: Area ace leader (2002), first team all-district (2002 & 2003), StudentSports.com Frosh 40 (2002), Fort Worth Star-Telegram all-area second team (2003) and AAU All-American (2003).

Her club experience includes stints with Texas Advantage Volleyball (1999-2001, 2003-04) and North Dallas Juniors Volleyball (2001-03).

Otto is also a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club at Arlington.
