FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs will wrap up their first round of play in conference action Thursday night when they host UNLV. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at the University Rec Center. The match also begins a stretch of three straight home matches over the next two weeks. TCU is 16-5 on the season and 5-2 in conference play.
TCU NOTABLES
The Horned Frogs went 1-1 on their most recent road trip.
The one victory was an historical one as they defeated BYU 3-0 on their home court for TCU's first-ever win in Provo.
Kourtney Edwards and Christy Hudson paced the team with 24 kills each over the weekend.
TCU is currently third in the league iwth a 5-2 record, that includes a 3-2 mark on the road.
The Frogs match against UNLV marks the end of the first half of the conference schedule.
The NCAA released the RPI report on Monday and the Frogs are currently ranked 58th, the third-highest RPI in the league.
UNLV NOTABLES
UNLV enters the match with a 4-10 record and a 2-4 mark in league play.
The Rebels have played four of their first six conference matches at home this season.
UNLV's schedule has been a tough one as they've faced off against No. 8 Florida, No. 9 ULCA, UC Santa Barbara and Oregon State.
They are just 1-8 this season in three-set matches.
Sophomore Cursty Jackson leads the team with an average of 3.18 kills per set and 0.98 blocks per set.
Kela Lau Hee is the defensive leader with an average of 3.15 digs per set.
TCU-UNLV SERIES
The Frogs and the Rebels will be meeting for the 11th time on the court.
UNLV holds and 8-2 edge, but the Frogs have claimed the latest victory in the series.
TCU defeated UNLV 3-1 in 2008 at the University Rec Center.
Since joining the league in 2005, the Frogs are 1-7 against the Rebels.
