Volleyball faces two ranked opponents this weekend
Oct. 5, 2006 FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU Horned Frogs hit the road for two key conference match-ups this weekend. They will square off against No. 19 BYU on Friday night in a match that will be aired live on BYU-TV. Following the match, the Frogs, who are off to the best start in school history at 14-4, will head to Salt Lake City for a meeting with No. 16 Utah. Both matches are slated for an 8 p.m. (CST) start. The Frogs and Live Audio: A Look Back At Last Week: In the two matches, the Frogs hit .205 as a squad, led by Anna Vaughn's .321 (25-7-56) attack percentage. Vaughn averaged 4.17 kills per game and led all blockers with nine. LeMeita Smith overcame a subpar performance on Friday night to led the team to victory on Saturday. She poured in 20 kills, matching her career-high, against San Diego State. Nirelle Hampton was the serving star as she racked up seven aces on the weekend as well as averaging 12.33 assists per game, The Frogs averaged just over 16 kills a game.
