Frogs hit road for pair of MWC contests
Sept. 21, 2006 FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball team hits the road this weekend for a pair of Mountain West Conferences matches. At 12-2, the Frogs are off to the best start in school history. An exciting come-from-behind victory over Wyoming a week ago gave the Frogs a 1-0 mark in conference play. TCU will square off against Air Force on Friday night followed by a Saturday tilt against Colorado State. Match times are slated for 8 p.m. (CST). A Look Back At Last Week: In the two matches, the Frogs hit .264 as a squad, led by Emily Allen's .529 (20-2-34) attack percentage. Anna Vaughn averaged 3.25 kills per game and tied with Kourtney Edwards for the blocking lead with seven. Lauren Otto dropped in 12 aces in the eight games, including a career-high seven against Wyoming. Nirelle Hampton continued her strong play as she averaged 10.38 assists per game, helping the Frogs average nearly 15 kills a game.
