FORT WORTH, TX (July 19) -- The 2000 TCU volleyball schedule
has been finalized, according to Head Coach Sandy Troudt. If the schedule
looks familar, it's because 23 of TCU's 30 matches are against opponents
faced in 1999.
"It's another challenging schedule," said Troudt. "Once again, our
non-conference slate will get us prepared for the WAC. The conference race
will be more competitive than ever. Hawai'i is still the team to beat, but
the level of play is balancing out from top to bottom," added Troudt.
TCU opens its fifth campaign on September 1 with the
Miami-JustBalls.com Classic in Oxford, Ohio. The Horned Frogs open their
home slate on Tuesday, September 5, by hosting Texas Tech in the
Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. TCU will hold its annual invitational Friday and
Saturday, September 15-16, with Cal State Fullerton, San Francisco, Montana
State and Tulane providing the competition. The Frogs open WAC play on
Friday, September 22 by entertaining rival SMU.
