Gower Looks To Make Splash at TCU
June 12, 2013
FORT WORTH, Texas - Standing 6-foot-4, Missouri native and incoming freshman Natalie Gower has the potential to be a special talent for the TCU volleyball program this upcoming season.
Gower, who was ranked in the top-150 Senior Aces on PrepVolleyball.com, will don the Purple and White this fall after claiming First-Team All-District, All-Region and All-State accolades at St. Joseph's Academy in St. Louis. The Honorable Mention Under Armour All-America honoree, helped the Angels record conference, district and region championship honors. Gower, who led all middle blockers in her conference in hitting percentage and was named to the Under Armour High School All-American Watch List prior to her senior season, ranked No. 2 in hitting percentage for middle blockers in the entire state of the Missouri.
She played club ball for St. Louis CYC, which recently placed first at the Show Me National Qualifier, while also being named Gateway Regional Champions. In all, Gower's club team won the bronze medal in the open division of the Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships in both 2010 and 2011, respectively.
As TCU enters its second year in arguably the toughest conferences in the country and boasts the defending NCAA Champions, Gower could be a major force for the Frogs in the middle.
