FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU volleyball head coach Prentice Lewis announced that Makenzie Smith has agreed to walk on the squad for the 2009 campaign. Smith, a native of Austin, Texas, joins three other Frogs that will make up the incoming class next fall.

"Makenzie will be a good addition to our TCU volleyball program," said Lewis. "We are happy to have her."

As a senior, she was tabbed as the District 16-5A Offensive Player of the Year after setting school records in kills (499) and digs (685). She is a three-time Academic all-district performer as well. She leaves Westwood as the all-time career leader in kills (1,145) and digs (1,317).
