The strong play continued against Louisiana Tech as the Frogs won25-12; 25-17. They finished the day on top with a win against Oklahoma (25-19; 25-22).
The dominating day on the court was helped along by some outstanding individual performances. Irene Hester led the team with 25 total kills in the four matches. Megan Munce did an outstanding job setting in all four matches. Sarah Joeckel anchored the passing and defense, finishing the day with a total of 60 digs.
"I was pleased with our overall play," remarked head coach Prentice Lewis. "We are a scrappy team and often times catch teams off-guard with our tough serving."
TCU will take a break from tournament play before returning to action on April 10. The Frogs will travel to crosstown rival, SMU, for another tournament.
The final tournament of the spring will be held at TCU on April 17th in the University Rec Center. Teams participating in the tournament will be Texas, Florida State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, North Texas, UT Arlington, SMU and Houston.
