Foster and Menichini have singles success at Southlake Fall Celebration

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU women's tennis assistant coach Colin Foster advanced to the singles championship while volunteer assistant coach Alex Menichini reached the semifinals this weekend at the Southlake Fall Celebration.

Foster, a four-year standout at Purdue University, won three matches over the weekend, including a 6-3, 6-4 victory over No. 4 seeded Fungai Tongoona, to reach the singles final. Foster, who was the tournament's No. 2 seed, fell to former TCU men's tennis head coach Joey Rivé by a score of 6-1, 7-6 in the championship round.

Menichini, who starred for the TCU men's tennis team from 2002-2004, was the top seed in the tournament and won two matches, including a straight sets win over No. 5 seed Bradford Judson, to reach the semifinals. Menichini fell to No. 3 Rivé by a score of 7-5, 6-3.
