Story Tweedie-Yates advanced against Lauren Barnikow and Raquel Kops-Jones when Barnikow went down with an injury. Barnikow and Kops-Jones were leading 2-1 in the first set.
Kops-Jones, the No. 457-ranked player in the world, defeated Besovic in the quarterfinals of singles play in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Daniela Gallegos, who is the tournament's top seed with a No. 427 world ranking, registered a three-set win over Cetnik, 6-7(4), 7-6(5), 6-3.
