FORT WORTH, Texas -- Four members of the TCU women's tennis team will participate in an International Tennis Federation event beginning Sunday in Matamoros, Mexico. Representing the Horned Frogs are Helena Besovic, Ana Cetnik, Nicole Leimbach and Anna Sydorska.

Leimbach and Sydorska were entered into the main draw and will begin play Tuesday. Besovic and Cetnik must survive the qualifying rounds Sunday and Monday to reach the main draw.

Leimbach currently holds a world ranking of 720 in singles according to the Sony Ericsson Women's Tennis Association Tour. The sophomore is also rated No. 3 on the college scene by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Leimbach was a singles All-American for Southern California and the 2005 Pac-10 Player of the Year before transferring to TCU over the summer.

Besovic, a senior at TCU, is coming off a 36-10 campaign in 2004-05 that saw her ranked as high as No. 25 in the nation. She posted a 20-5 record at No. 2 singles and reached the second round of the NCAA Singles Championship. The Sarajevo, Bosnia, native enters this fall with a career-high singles ranking of 21st among the college ranks.

Cetnik fought her way to a 14-8 mark in singles last season while battling an injury to her right shoulder that forced her to serve underhanded for most of the spring. The junior from Belgrade, Serbia, teamed with departed senior Story Tweedie-Yates in doubles and reached the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship. Cetnik earned All-America praise in doubles with a 22-4 slate and enters the fall rated 17th with Leimbach and No. 116 in singles.

Sydorska, who hails from Lviv, Ukraine, is a true freshman for the Frogs this season. She is currently ranked No. 1185 by the WTA Tour.
