SOUTHLAKE, Texas - TCU women's tennis player Macall Harkins advanced in the main draw of the 25k Challenger event in Southlake, Texas, on Wednesday. Harkins is making her second consecutive main draw appearance in a Pro Circuit event.

Harkins, a junior from Palos Verdes, Calif., won her fourth consecutive match with a 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 defeat of Ellah Nze to move on to the second round of the main draw. Nze defeated Harkins in the main draw of the Pro Circuit event two weeks ago in Fort Worth.

Harkins also teamed up with fellow Horned Frog Andrea Morgado in the main draw of the doubles portion on Wednesday. The duo's match against the No. 4 seed of Sandy Gumulya and Romana Tedjakusuma was postponed due to rain.
