"Ana and Anna played very well today with great intensity and focus," said TCU head coach Jefferson Hammond. "Even when it got close in the second set, the same elements remained constant. Tennessee was very solid and it was a really nice win."

The No. 4 seeded Frog duo trailed 2-1 early in the first set, but went on to win eight consecutive games to take a 3-0 lead in the second frame. The Volunteers fought back to a 5-4 score, and brought the final game to deuce, but the Frogs were able to win the last two points to take the match.

With the win, Cetnik and Sydorska improved their spring record to 12-4 and defeated their seventh ranked tandem of the season. Overall this year, Cetnik has won 34 doubles matches and Sydorska has won 33, which places tied for first and second, respectively, all-time at TCU.them Cetnik also secured her 95th career doubles victory and 174th career combined victory, which ranks third and seventh, respectively, in school history.

Saturday's match will mark only the second time that a TCU women's doubles team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship, as Ana Cetnik and Story Tweedie-Yates made it the semifinals in 2005.
