2005 C-USA Women's Tennis Championship
April 22, 2005 Houston bounced back after losing the doubles point to securing four singles wins over DePaul and advance to the semifinals of the 2005 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship. The Blue Demons picked up the doubles point after teams Beatrix Csordas and Marina Parashkevova defeated Cougars' No. 1 doubles team of Brianna Bateup and Biljana Dimovska (8-5). DPU's Gergana Ganeva and Petra Rehusova earned another Blue Demon victory with an 8-4 finish over Yolandi Terblanche and Sarah Reimer. Houston's Dimovska defeated Csordas, 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot, while teammate Miller beat Leung, 6-3, 6-1. However, the Blue Demon's held a 3-2 lead over the Cougs after DPU's Parashkevova picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win over Martin and 2004 C-USA Freshman of the Year Ganeva defeated UH's Bateup, 6-3, 6-4. Tiffany McLoughlin's 6-2, 7-6 (5) win over Bojana Murisic Houston tied the match and two minutes later Terblanche clinched the win with a 7-5, 6-1 defeat of Rehusova.
