TCU women's tennis prepares for Utah, No. 35 BYU

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The No. 32 TCU women's tennis team will continue Mountain West Conference play this weekend when they face Utah on Friday at 3 p.m. CT and No. 35 BYU on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT at the Eccles Tennis Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. TCU and BYU are currently unbeaten in conference action this season.
The Horned Frogs (12-7) are currently riding a five-match winning streak, including a 3-0 record in conference play. The women have outscored their opponents by a combined mark of 29-6 during the win streak.
Utah is currently 13-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play, while BYU (14-5, 4-0) is currently enjoying a six-match winning streak. Both teams are coming off of wins over Wyoming.
Three players are currently ranked individually in singles play for TCU. Ana Cetnik leads the way at No. 43, followed by Ana Sydorska at No. 58 and Nina Munch-Soegaard at No. 93. Cetnik and Sydorska are also ranked No. 6 in the nation in doubles.
Cetnik, Munch-Soegaard and Andrea Morgado have tallied five consecutive singles victories for TCU, while Kewa Nichols has reeled off seven straight wins.
The Cougars will feature the No. 118 singles player in the nation in Anastasia Surkova, and the No. 49 doubles duo of Miccoli and Surkova.
TCU and Utah have met five times in the overall series dating back to 1981, as TCU has won all five contests, including a 7-0 decision last season in Provo, Utah. The Frogs and Cougars have met eight times in the history of the two programs that also dates back to 1981, as TCU holds a 5-3 advantage. TCU defeated BYU 6-1 in the regular season last year before overtaking the Cougars 4-0 in the MWC Championship.
