Dallas, Texas - TCU women's tennis player Ana Cetnik was named the Conference USA Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. The sophomore earned the accolade after she went a perfect 3-0 last week to help the Frogs improve to 12-1 overall this season, which is the best record to start the year since the 1982-83 season. Cetnik is the second straight TCU player to be honored as Story Tweedie-Yates earned the award last week.

While teaming with Tweedie-Yates in doubles, the pair dominated then-No. 39 Jennifer Klaschka and Ann-Kristin Siljestrom, 8-2. They were able to win despite the fact that Cetnik served underhand due to a shoulder injury. Earlier in the week against Iowa, the then-52nd ranked duo posted an 8-5 victory over Meg Racette and Hillary Mintz to help lead the team to the 5-2 win over the Hawkeyes. Overall this season, the tandem has posted an 11-1 overall record and on Tuesday they were 35th in the latest ITA doubles rankings.

In singles, Cetnik was pulled from her match against the Hawkeyes due to the injury. A day later against the Blue Raiders, the Belgrade, Serbia, native was the first to finish as she dominated Siljestrom, 6-1, 6-1, to help lead the Frogs to the 7-0 shutout, which was their third of the season.

No. 20 TCU will face its stiffest challenge of the season on Wednesday in Los Angeles when it competes against No. 5 Southern California at 1:30 p.m. at Marks Tennis Stadium.
