No. 12 TCU prepares for showdown at No. 16 Baylor
Feb. 26, 2006 FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 12 TCU women's tennis team travels to Waco, Texas, on Monday to battle No. 16 Baylor in the 25th installment of a series that dates back to 1976. TCU leads the all-time series 17-7. Baylor returns to action for the first time since suffering a 4-3 defeat to No. 14 Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn. The Bears currently hold a record 5-2. The Frogs return to action for the first time since a decisive 6-1 victory over SMU on Feb. 15. For the third-consecutive week, the Frogs are ranked No. 12 in the ITA polls which remains the highest ranking in program history. On Feb. some, TCU downed Vanderbilt, ranked No. 7 at the time, 4-3 in the second-round of the National Team Indoors in Madison, Wisc. In the last matchup between TCU and Baylor on Feb. 22, 2005, the Bears defeated TCU 5-2 in Fort Worth. Match time for Monday's event is scheduled for 5 p.m.
