Women's Tennis Hosts Trio of Matches This Weekend
Feb. 26, 2004 FORT WORTH, Texas - Complete Release in PDF Format The 45th-ranked TCU women's tennis team (2-5, 0-1 C-USA) will host a trio of ranked schools this weekend at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. Action begins Friday, February 27 when No. 33 Oklahoma (5-1) comes to play in a 2:00 p.m. match on the Tut Bartzen Varsity Courts. The Frogs lead the overall series 11-10. Saturday's match versus 54th-ranked Tulsa (7-2), originally scheduled for play at Colonial Country Club, has been moved to the Tennis Center's public courts. Play will still begin at noon. TCU holds a commanding 10-2 series lead against the Golden Hurricane.
The weekend concludes against No. 47 Purdue (3-4) on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. on the Varsity Courts at the Friedman Tennis Center. The two squads are tied in the series at one win apiece, but they haven't met since March 4, 1995 when the Boilermakers captured a 5-4 victory.
