TCU women's tennis welcomes SMU

FORT WORTH, Texas - After improving to 3-2 with a 6-1 win over Tulsa on Saturday, the No. 12 TCU women's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts SMU. The Frogs are 23-16 all-time versus the Mustangs in a series that dates back to 1975.
TCU used a sweep in doubles play and wins in five-of-six singles matches to come away with the victory versus Tulsa.
Sophomore Nicole Leimbach made her first appearance of the spring season and posted two wins. The Colorado Springs, Colo., product paired with junior Ana Cetnik to take an 8-7(1) victory over Thalia Diaz-Barriga and Santie Delport in doubles. She finished her afternoon with a 6-3, 6-1 triumph over Daniela Muscolino.
SMU sits at 6-2 on the season after a 5-2 victory over Mississippi State on Sunday.
In the last meeting between TCU and SMU, the Frogs downed the Mustangs by a score of 6-1 in Dallas.
Match time for Wednesday's event is scheduled for 2 p.m.
