No. 16 TCU will face No. 8 North Carolina on Thursday

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's tennis team will open the 2007 season in Madison, Wisc., on Thursday at the 20th Annual USTA/ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championships. The women are slated to face No. 8 North Carolina in the first round at 9 a.m.

16 teams will participate in the tournament, 14 of which are currently ranked in the Fila/ITA preseason top-25. TCU, who holds a preseason ranking of No. 16, will go against No. 8 North Carolina, who features four players ranked in the top-100 in the nation.

The Frogs will take part in the tournament for the second consecutive year, as TCU upset No. 7 Vanderbilt in the first round last season, tying a school record for highest team defeated.

Ana Cetnik and Anna Sydorska traveled to the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships in Columbus, Ohio, last fall, advancing to the doubles championship. The tandem currently holds a No. 9 ranking.
