FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's tennis team earned a No. 36 ranking in the season's first Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll released on Tuesday. Two Frogs appeared in the singles rankings, while the doubles duo of Macall Harkins and Anna Sydorska also earned recognition.

TCU sophomore Nina Munch-Soegaard earned a singles ranking of No. 66 after leading the team in the fall with a 10-3 record. Munch-Soegaard won nine straight matches, including a five-match stretch where the Amarillo, Texas product claimed The Racquet Club Invitational title.

Anna Sydorska, a junior from Lviv, Ukraine, will enter the 2008 season with a singles ranking of No. 80. Sydorska recorded a 3-2 mark during the fall, including a straight-sets win over No. 40 Pavla Mesterova of Loyola Marymount.

The doubles duo of Harkins and Sydorska garnered a No. 18 national ranking after posting a 7-3 record in the fall. The Frog pair advanced to the finals of the Wilson/ITA Southwest Regional Championship and earned a trip to the ITA Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, where they knocked off the No. 3 ranked team to advance to the semifinals.

The Frogs will open the 2008 season against No. 24 Texas in Austin on Feb. 9 at 12 p.m.
