COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Helena Besovic and Anna Sydorska from the TCU women's tennis team advanced to the doubles semifinals on Monday in the Wilson/ITA Southwest Regional Championships in College Station, Texas. Besovic reached the semis in singles as well before falling to the tournament's No. 1 seed. Besovic and Sydorska upended Tammy Day and Clemence Ramy of Louisiana-Lafayette in the quarterfinals by an 8-3 score. They take on No. 5-seeded Blair DiSesa and Alanna Rogers from Rice on Tuesday. In the singles quarters, 21st-rated Besovic ousted DiSesa by scores of 6-0, 6-2 before falling to No. 7 Zuzana Zemenova of Baylor in straight sets 7-5, 6-3. "It was a very clean match with a lot of winners," TCU assistant coach Jeff Hammond said. "A very high level of tennis was played today. A couple of breaks here and there and the result could have gone the other way." Zemenova also defeated TCU's Ana Cetnik, ranked 116th, in the quarters. She won the first set 6-4 and was up 3-0 in the second when Cetnik withdrew due to a pulled muscle in her rib cage. Gloriann Lopez defeated Texas A&M's Tiffany Clifford in the quarterfinals of consolation play 7-5, 6-2 and was then dropped by No. 20-ranked Petra Dizdar of Texas by the same scores. Andrea Morgado lost in the consolation quarters to A&M's Ale Jordan 6-2, 6-2. Singles Main Draw Singles Consolation Doubles Main Draw
