No. 29 Women's Tennis Earns 4-1 Win Over No. 44 BYU

PROVO, Utah - The 29th-ranked TCU women's tennis team defeated 44th-ranked BYU, 4-1, on Monday afternoon. The Frogs remain undefeated on the road this season. TCU advances to 13-4, 2-0 C-USA, while BYU falls to 6-9.
The Frogs picked up the doubles point with wins at Nos. 2 and 3. TCU's No. 1 pair of Paty Aburto and Rosa Perez dropped their first match in 12 tries as Brooke Beverley and Dominique Reynolds won the match, 8-5. 51st-ranked Saber Pierce and Leoni Weirich defeated Lindsay Ferrell and Lu Oswald, 8-5, while Katrin Gaber and Karla Mancinas took care of Liza Khoudoiarova and Rebecca Pike, 8-4.
TCU earned straight-set singles wins from Katrin Gaber at No. 1 (6-2, 6-3 over Rebecca Pike) and Paty Aburto at No. 2 (6-4, 6-0 over Lindsay Ferrell). Rosa Perez battled back to win her match at No. 4 against Brooke Beverley, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4. With the match already decided, Nos. 5 and 6 singles did not finish their matches.
The Frogs return home to host Oklahoma State on Tuesday, March 26 at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center beginning at 2:00 p.m.
