Feb. 29, 2004
FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 45 TCU women's tennis team (4-6, 0-1 C-USA) made short work in defeating the 47th-ranked Purdue Boilermakers (3-6) on Sunday morning at the Bayard H. At No. 1 senior Paty Aburto topped Gretchen Haynor, 6-1, 6-3, while freshman Ana Cetnik defeated Alyssa Rodriguez, 6-1, 7-5, at four singles, and freshman Jenn Chay won a 7-6, 6-2 battle at No. 2 against Amy Walgenbach. Senior Saber Pierce clinched the match for TCU with her three-set (6-3, 4-6, 6-3) win over Hala Sufi at the third position. Complete results of the match can be found below.
