Outlook: Freshman Jenn Chay comes to TCU as a highly touted recruit. Her solid play during the fall will earn her a spot in the singles top six and a place on the doubles court as well. Fall 2003: Chay put together the best singles record of any Frog during the fall individual season with an 8-4 mark. Competing in the adidas Invitational, Chay worked her way to the Singles Flight 1 Consolation Finals where she lost a tough three-set match to 42nd-ranked Jessica Rush of Northwestern (2-6, 6-2, 6-4). She also took part in the Riviera Pre-Qualifying Tournament, splitting her matches 1-1. Chay pounded out three straight-set wins in the Southwest Regional, before falling to Lauren Archer of Rice in the round of 16. In doubles, Chay teamed with sophomore Gloriann Lopez en route to a 1-3 fall record. The tandem defeated Linden and Lyles of Louisiana-Lafayette, 8-2, during regionals.
