Wayne Chester is in his fifth year at the head of the Horned Frog diving program.
An accomplished diver, Chester was the 1979 NCAA Champion on the one-meter board while at the University of Alabama. As a collegian, Chester earned All-America status three times, was Southeast Conference champion and earned SEC Diver of the Year honors in 1981.
He is a lifetime resident of Fort Worth, Texas, and attended Arlington Heights High School. During his four-year prep diving career he was undefeated in city and reigonal meets. He also was the Texas state champion his senior year.
In addition to his employment at TCU, Chester is a job supervisor for Gearheart Construction Company.
He was married on September 15, 2000, to Lorain Morris. Together, the couple owns Glamourpaws, a local grooming shop.
The Chesters have three children: Casey Morris (28), Courtney Chester (14) and Emily Chester (11).
