WEEKLY MATCH NOTES
FORT WORTH - The TCU Horned Frogs will look to close out their four-match homestand on a winning note Friday night when they host Houston Baptist. First kick is set for 7 p.m. at Garvey Rosenthal Stadium.

TCU NOTABLES
TCU bounced back from a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to SMU on Friday night to win 3-0 against Texas State on Sunday. Makenzie Koch had an outstanding weekend as she scored her first two career goals and assisted on Sunday's gamewinner, earning Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors.
Vittoria Arnold sat out Friday, but returned to the net on Sunday. She made four saves en route to recording her third shutout of the season. Alicen Wright made her season debut on Friday and made five saves in a tough-luck 2-1 loss to the Mustangs. Brittany Slyman and Koch briefly tied Monica Alvarado for the team lead in goals, but it was short lived as Alvarado notched her third in the second half against Texas State. Katie Ostrander, Serena Smith-Banas and Caroline Patel made their collegiate debuts on Sunday.
HOUSTON BAPTIST NOTABLES
The Huskies went 1-0-1 last weekend, defeating Northwestern (La.) 3-1 and tying Lamar 1-1. Houston Baptist has played five matches away from home and boasts a 2-2-1 record.
Natalie Hager, the team's leading goal scorer with five, potted a pair of goals in the win over NWLA. Lindsay Matlock knotted the game at one in the 74th minute on Sunday, picking up her first goal of the season. Shelby Horn tallied 13 saves and allowed just two goals in the two matches this past weekend.
ON TARGET
Makenzie Koch put together a solid weekend on the soccer pitch. She converted on two penalty kicks and dished out an assist for five points in the two games. Her first career goal came on Friday when she knotted the Frogs' contest against SMU at one.
She notched her team-leading fourth assist on Sunday, feeding the ball to Brittany Slyman for what proved to be the game winner. She added an insurance goal later in the half, converting on another penalty kick.
In addition to her scoring touch, Koch is the go-to person to take corner kicks. She has taken 26 of 31 (84%) corners this season.
On the season, Koch has four assists, which is tied for the most in the Big 12. Her average of 0.57 assists per game tops the league.
STINGY DEFENSE
TCU has allowed just six goals in seven matches this season. The six goals allowed ranks third in the Big 12. Only Baylor and Texas Tech have allowed fewer goals, surrendering three and five, respectively in its first eight contests.
A WHITEWASH
Vittoria Arnold notched her third shutout of the season on Sunday. She leads the Big 12 with a .840 save percentage. She has stoped 21 of 25 shots that have come her way this season. Additionally, her 0.67 goals against average ranks second in the league.
SERIES HISTORY - HOUSTON BAPTIST
TCU and Houston Baptist have met four times on the pitch. The first meeting came in 1986. The series resumed in 2009 and the teams have played every year since then. The Frogs are a perfect 4-0-0 against the Huskies.
Three of the four meetings have come in Fort Worth, the lone exception coming last year when they played at HBU. The Frogs took a 3-0 victory over the Huskies on Sept. 25, 2011. In the last meeting in Fort Worth, TCU won 5-2 on Oct. 3, 2010.
