FORT WORTH, Texas - Redshirt freshman punter Anson Kelton and freshman forward Jordan Calhoun were named TCU Athletes of the Week on Wednesday.

Kelton had a strong game in his collegiate debut for the Horned Frogs. Kelton's efforts were instrumental in TCU having an average starting field position of midfield with New Mexico at its own 18. The Aledo, Texas, native averaged 41.8 yards on four punts. Two of his kicks were downed inside the New Mexico 20.

Calhoun, who was selected to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week on Wednesday, netted three goals over the weekend, including a two-goal performance against Xavier. By doing so Calhoun, who earlier this week was named Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week, became the first freshman in TCU program history to net back-to-back two-goal outings in the first two games of a career. Against SEC opponent Ole Miss, she recorded TCU's final goal of the game, sending the game into overtime, which ultimately resulted in a 2-2 tie.
