The TCU Horned Frogs soccer team will hit the road for their second straight contest today as they head to Shreveport, La. to square off against the Centenary Ladies. This marks the 12th meeting between the two schools with TCU holding a 7-4 advantage. Game time at Mayo Field is set for 7 p.m.
The Frogs are coming off a 6-0 loss to the No. 6 team in the nation, Texas A&M. TCU is hoping to get things rolling today at Centenary. Last season, coming off of a 1-1 tie against Louisiana-Lafayette, the Horned Frogs posted a 6-0 shutout of the Ladies in Fort Worth.

Tough Schedule
*The meeting with Texas A&M last Friday marked one of three games the Frogs will play against ranked opponents this season. TCU will face off against No. 22 SMU on September 9th and preseason No. 1 Santa Clara on October 5th. Last season, the Horned Frogs were 0-2-1 against ranked opponents.
Senior Leadership
*With the Frogs trailing by four after halftime, senior Jenny Swanson (Tacoma, Wash.) tried to get the Frogs on the board. Swanson took a point blank shot that was stopped by A&M defender just before it crossed the line, Swanson took aim at the rebound only to see it go wide of the goal.
Tough Start
*The freshman goalkeepers got off to a rough start on Friday, as they faced 19 shots combined, nine of which were on goal. Katie Buchanan (Plano, Texas) faced 12 shots in her half of work and gave up four goals, while making two saves. Jennifer Sims (The Colony, Texas) faced seven shots, allowing two goals and making one save.
Van Zandt Breaks Through
*Amy Van Zandt (Jr., Fort Worth, Texas) recorded the only other shot on goal for the Frogs on Friday. On a breakaway in the first half, she shot high to the goalkeepers right, but 6'2" Kati Jo Spisak was able to jump and punch it over the back of the goal for her only save of the game.
TCU vs. Centenary History
* The Horned Frogs and the Ladies will meet for the 12th time in the school's history. TCU holds a 7-4 advantage all-time having won the last five meetings. The Frogs picked up a 6-0 victory last season. In Shreveport, the Frogs are 2-2 overall. Their last victory in Shreveport was on September 29, 1999 in which they won 2-1.
Scouting The Ladies
*The Centenary Ladies are one step ahead of the Frogs at this point of the season with two games under their belts. The Ladies opened up their 2003 campaign with a 2-1 loss to the University of Northern Iowa on Friday. Samantha Savage recorded the lone goal for the Ladies. On Sunday they picked up a 2-1 victory over UTEP. Ashlee Mantooth scored the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute to give Centenary their first win.
