GoFrogs.com recently caught up with midfielder Lauren Pope as she prepares for her senior season with the Lady Frogs.

Last fall, Pope, a native of Plano, Texas, tallied four goals and one assist despite missing the final 11 games due to injury.

GoFrogs.com: What have you been doing this summer to make yourself a better soccer player?
Lauren Pope: I have been focusing on getting my knee back to full strength and working on my fitness.

GF: How excited are you for this upcoming season?
LP: This will definitely be my most exciting season considering I have been out for almost a year. I have never had that much time away from soccer, so it really gave me the chance to build up my love for the game.

GF: How has your summer gone so far?
LP: It has been a lot of fun. I have been working camps, getting in shape, seeing old friends and going to the lake.

GF: What would you like to accomplish this upcoming season as a player?
LP: I would like to play to my full potential. I feel that I have not been able to do that since I've came to TCU.

GF: What would you like the team to accomplish this upcoming season?
LP: I am hoping that with all the incoming freshman we will be able to click as a team and have a successful season. Ideally, I would like to be part of a program that can win the Mountain West and go to the NCAA tournament.

GF: What is something that you have done for fun this summer?
LP: I worked a Christian sports camp at the beginning of the summer. It's always one of the main highlights of my summer.

GF: What is the last movie you watched?
LP: The last movie I watched was Black Sheep. Chris Farley is one of my favorites.

GF: If you could play any other collegiate sport, what would it be?
LP: Baseball

GF: What is you favorite thing to do off the field?
LP: I'd say anything outdoors. I love going to the lake, fishing, being with my friends and my dog.
