FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU has announced that the Jane and John Justin Foundation has committed $1.5 million for the new Jane Justin Fieldhouse at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

It is the largest gift ever at TCU for a project geared solely for women's athletics.

"We are truly thankful for this generous donation from the Jane and John Justin Foundation and honored to be associated with the Jane Justin name," TCU athletics director Danny Morrison said. "This gift is an indication of the foundation's commitment to women's athletics and TCU in general.

"We look forward to representing Jane Justin's legacy with class, determination and character both on and off the field."

The Jane and John Justin Foundation has previously been a lead contributor to the John Justin Athletic Center, which opened in 2000, and the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility completed in Summer 2007.

The Jane Justin Fieldhouse will be approximately 5,000 square feet and include home and visitor locker rooms, an officials locker room, a training room, offices, lounge area and wrap-around raised viewing terrace.

"This is an important piece for our program in what is now one of the best soccer venues in the country and not just at the collegiate level," TCU women's soccer head coach Dan Abdalla said. "More importantly, our student-athletes will benefit greatly from the facility and are excited to move in next year."

The completion date of the Jane Justin Fieldhouse is targeted for June 2010.

The TCU women's soccer program enjoyed its best season in 2008. The Horned Frogs set a single-season school record for victories with a 14-4-2 record en route to its first-ever national ranking. TCU also posted three of the top-five single-game attendance marks in program history as it averaged over 1,200 fans per home match.
