April 18, 2005

Fort Worth, Texas - This summer, TCU women's soccer head coach, Dan Abdalla, will host the Dan Abdalla Soccer Academy for soccer players of all ages and skill levels.

The goal of the Dan Abdalla Soccer Academy is to maximize the potential of individual players in a fun and challenging atmosphere. Students will be separated by both age and skill.

Past staffs of the Dan Abdalla Soccer Academy have included college head and assistant coaches, MLS players, English Premier League players, WUSA players and U.S. National Team men's and women's players.

The half-day, full-day, and goalkeeper academies will be offered June 13-17, June 20-24, and July 18-22. The elite residential girls academy will take place June 17-19.

Academy tuition is $135 for the half-day academy, $180 for the full-day academy, and $210 for the elite girls academy. These costs include instruction by top-level staff, a camp t-shirt, and lunch for full-day students.

Dan Abdalla is in his first year as head coach of the TCU women's soccer team after five seasons as the head coach at UNLV. In 2004, Abdalla coached the Rebels to the Mountain West Conference regular season championship. He has coached 14 all-MWC players, four all-region selections, and one Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

Abdalla has served as a staff-member and age group coach for the Region IV Olympic Development Program and has had a number of former players drafted by the WUSA and play for regional and national teams.
