WYLIE, Texas - TCU goalkeeper Kelsey Walter saved 10 shots, but it wasn't enough as the Horned Frogs dropped a 4-0 match to Notre Dame on Saturday in Wylie, Texas.

Overall, TCU was led on offense by sophomore Lizzy Karoly who posted three shots-on-goal, but couldn't find the back of the net. For the match, the Horned Frogs recorded three corners.

"I thought our girls showed they have the ability to play at Notre Dame's level. I thought we had several scoring opportunities throughout the match, but just couldn't get the ball in the net," said head coach Dan Abdalla.

Notre Dame finished the 2007 season at No. 5 in the country. The Fighting Irish closed out the year with a 19-5-2 record and fell in the NCAA semifinals to eventual National Runner-Up Florida State, 3-2.

The women's soccer program held a spring clinic in conjunction with Special Olympics before the contest against Notre Dame.

"Anytime we have the opportunity to work with Special Olympians it is awesome and very positive. It's defines our team and really puts things into perspective," said Abdalla.

TCU moved to 1-1-0 in the spring and will continue action April 5 against Texas Tech at Pizza Hut Park.
