TCU junior defender Sara Schneider sat down with GoFrogs.com this week and gave fans an inside look into a player's perspective on this spring season. This is the first installment of Sara Schneider's weekly journal as the Horned Frogs open their spring schedule this week with Iowa State.

First Installment
I am really excited to start talking to you all about what's going on with the team and our spring season. Head coach Dan Abdalla can only give you guys so much. I want you to get a player's perspective of what we are about and also a chance to get to know us better.

Like Dan, I am so pumped about this spring season. I love the positive vibe of our team right now. We set goals at the beginning of the season that everybody has tied into whole-heartedly. Dr. Upton is getting us in super shape and we are finally getting girls back that have been hurt.

Practices have been awesome because everybody is out there competing and pushing each other. We are a very competitive team and love talking some trash every now and then.

When we aren't on the field we love hanging out with each other and supporting other TCU sports. This past weekend a lot of us girls went to the baseball games. We all put on our purple, cheered on our guys and enjoyed some hot dogs.

Our first spring game is this Friday night against Iowa State. The girls and I are amped to get out under the lights again and tear it up. It's going to be great to see all of our hard work so far come together.

"Good teams become great ones when the members trust each other enough to surrender the me for the we."
