FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU associate head soccer coach Blake Amos announced the signing of three players to National Letters of Intent. Lauren Pope, Megan Ingram and Erna Sigurdardottir have all arrived at TCU and are enrolled in classes.

Pope, a native of Plano, Texas, transfers to TCU following a season at Virginia Tech. Pope saw limited action in her freshman campaign with the Hokies, appearing in only three contests. As a prep, Pope was a star for Plano West, leading her team to three consecutive state championships from 2000-02. During that span, Plano West was undefeated in 58 matches. She was an all-district and all-state performer at the midfield position in 2002 and 2003. She was also a member of the Dallas Texans 85 team that won the National Championship in 2003. She also played in the Region III Olympic Development Program state team for six years.

"We are very excited to have Lauren as a part of our team," commented Amos. "She is that creative midfielder that we've been searching for."

Ingram joins the Frogs following an outstanding prep career at Flower Mound High School. She was a three-time letterwinner for head coach Shannon Glidwell. She only played three seasons of high school soccer due to early graduation. In just two and a half seasons, Ingram scored 14 goals and assisted on seven others. She sat out half a season with an injury. She was a second-team all-district player as a sophomore. She was a member of the North Texas Olympic Development team in 2004 and played for the national finalist team for North Texas in 2003.

"Megan will be the first in our program to leave high school a semester early," said Amos. "Not only will it benefit her development as a player, it will benefit our program in the future."

Sigurdardottir comes to TCU from Iceland to join former teammates Bara Gunnarsdottir and Bjarnveig Birgisdottir. Sigurdardottir has 12 games of international play under her belt as a member of the Icelandic national team.

"Erna comes to TCU with substantial experience on the International level," remarked Amos. "She is a proven goal scorer who should have an immediate impact on our team."
