Codi Schumaker enters her first season at TCU as director of soccer operations. Schumaker joins the Horned Frogs after spending last season as an undergraduate assistant coach at UNLV.
Prior to assisting at UNLV, Schumaker was a four-year letterwinner as a defender from 2001-2004 with the Rebels. Schumaker appeared in a total of 58 games for UNLV, starting 41. She helped the Rebels post the best two defensive seasons in school history, including allowing just a 0.76 team GPA in helping UNLV to the 2004 Mountain West Conference championship.
Schumaker posted a total of five assists in her career. During the 2004 season, she started all 18 games, and started 17 of 18 games in the 2002 season, after appearing just once in 2003 due to injuries.
A native of Torrance, Calif., Schumaker graduated in the spring of 2006 with a bachelor's degree in university studies. She has also completed extensive work toward earning a bachelor's degree in elementary education. As a freshman at UNLV, Schumaker was selected to the Academic All-Mountain West team.
