Saw action in two matches during her freshman campaign ... Overall, she collected three shots against Arkansas-Pine Bluff with two of the three coming on goal ... Also played against East Tennessee State on Sept. 14, playing the majority of the second half for the Horned Frogs.

Lincoln
Heading into her senior season at Lincoln High School, Matthews was a two-time all-conference performer, while also being a member of the 2008 National Y League ODP Camp, which is made up of the top US players in the USL Super Y-League ... A co-captain her senior year, Matthews helped lead Lincoln to the semifinals of the SAC-Joaquin Division I playoffs ... Overall, she totaled 33 assists and 34 goals between her sophomore and senior seasons ... Matthews helped lead Lincoln to three-straight San Joaquin Athletic Association Championships ... She played club ball for the California Cougars, PWSA Pride of Lions 89 and California Rush ... Also an exceptional tennis player, Matthews suffered only four losses in doubles league play at Lincoln, while collecting 32 doubles wins since 2005.
