Mexican National Team Alvarado landed a spot on the Mexican National Team roster for the 2011 World Cup and traveled with the squad to Germany for pool play against England, New Zealand and the eventual 2011 champion, Japan ... she was on the roster for all of the qualifying rounds to the World Cup, including Mexico's 2-1 win over the United States in the semifinals of the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying in November 2010.
