Baseball hosts and wins an NCAA Regional for the first time in school history. The Horned Frogs finish one game short of the College World Series. Jessica Young finishes second in the 100 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Men's golfer Tom Hoge ties for third at the NCAA National Championships, while the Horned Frogs finish ninth as a team. Football player Jerry Hughes is named a consensus All-American and a finalist for national defensive player of the year. Carrie von Uhlit wins the Varsity Equestrian Reining Championship.
