KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The 24th-ranked TCU women's golf team dropped a 4-1-0 decision Monday to No. 16 Denver at the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship in Kissimmee, Fla.

Horned Frog sophomore Valentine Derrey, the nation's 13th-ranked player, earned the point for TCU.

The Frogs, who featured three freshmen and two sophomores in their five-player lineup, qualified for the competition by placing 11th at last year's NCAA National Championships.

The Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship concluded the fall season for TCU. The Frogs open their spring schedule Feb. 11 at the Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
