TCU one stroke off the lead at Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Led by Valentine Derrey's 73, the TCU women's golf team is in second place after Friday's opening round of the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C. The 39th-ranked Horned Frogs, featuring three freshmen in their five-player lineup, are just one stroke behind East Tennessee State for the team lead. TCU carded a 12-over-par 300. Derrey's 1-over 73 has her tied for sixth individually and three strokes off the pace set by UNC Wilmington's Carmen Perez-Narbon. TCU freshman Prisela Campbell, in her first collegiate tournament, shot a 2-over-par 74 and is tied for eighth. Campbell is a Fort Worth native (Fossil Ridge High School). Fellow Frog freshmen Allyson Fergusen and Melissa Loh posted scores of 78 and 82, respectively. Senior Carrie Morris is in a six-way tie for 10th with a 75.
