Derrey cards a second-round 70 at NCAA Preview

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Valentine Derrey's 3-under-par 70 helped TCU improve two places in the team standings after Tuesday's second round of the Margaret Branch NCAA Preview in Albuquerque, N.M. Derrey is in a three-way tie for 12th place with her 36-hole score of 2-under 144. A sophomore from Paris, France, Derrey is seven strokes off the pace set by USC's Dewi Claire Schreefel. The 21st-ranked Horned Frogs shot a 12-over-par 304 and are in 15th place heading into Wednesday's final round. Duke, with a 36-hole score of 11-under 573, leads the tournament by four strokes over USC. TCU's Christina Schams, Carrie Morris and Allyson Ferguson all carded second-round 78s.
