NEW YORK -- The TCU women's golf team is ranked 25th in terms of the best colleges for golf in Golf Digest's 2006 College Golf Guide.

The ranking is based on a college golf team's adjusted scoring average, player growth while on the team, academics, climate and coaches/facilities.

The rankings and College Golf Guide package provides a blueprint for high school students with dreams of playing golf in college and professionally ("Golf First" ranking), as well as students focused on education who still desire to play competitive golf ("Academics First" ranking).

Angie Ravaioli-Larkin, set to begin her 13th year as head coach of the TCU women's golf team, is the third-most tenured coach on the Horned Frogs' athletics staff. She has led TCU to 11 consecutive NCAA postseason appearances while producing 15 National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-America Scholars.

TCU is the highest-ranked member of the Mountain West Conference. The Frogs were second in the state of Texas, behind only No. 17 Texas.
