FORT WORTH, Texas -- Baseball player Taylor Cragin and women's golfer Valentine Derrey have been named TCU's Male and Female Athletes of the Week, while women's golfer Allyson Ferguson is the Gulliver's Travel Road Warrior of the Week.

Cragin tossed five scoreless innings of relief in two appearances as TCU swept UT-Pan American, extending the Horned Frogs' win streak to seven.

A junior from Friendswood, Texas, Cragin earned his second save of the season in Monday's 8-5 victory over the Broncs.

Cragin has not allowed a run in his last nine appearances, spanning 14 1/3 innings. He has struck out 13 while not issuing a walk in that stretch.

Derrey, the Co-Mountain West Conference Women's Golfer of the Year, finished third at the NCAA Central Regional with a TCU tournament record 6-under-par 210.

A sophomore from Paris, France, Derrey tied her own Horned Mark mark with an opening-round 67.

Derrey was instrumental in TCU placing fourth as it earned its first back-to-back appearances at the NCAA National Championship since 1999-2000.

Ferguson, one of three freshmen in TCU's five-player lineup, tied for eighth individually with a 1-over-par 217 at the NCAA Central Regional.

The Houston native carded a career-low 71 in the opening and final rounds.
