TCU Moves Into Ninth Place At PING/ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Rachel Raastad's even-par 71, her low round of the season, keyed a 294 for TCU as the Horned Frogs moved into ninth place after Saturday's second round of the PING/ASU Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. A senior from Asker, Norway, Raastad had two birdies Saturday and is tied for 26th individually with a 4-over 146. The 71 was her best round since Nov. 1, 2010 at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio. Alexandra Bonetti and Sanna Nuutinen both recorded 74s for TCU, while April McCoy added a 75. The PING/ASU Invitational field features nine top-25 ranked teams, including five in the top 10. Top-ranked UCLA is atop the leaderboard with a 3-under 565, nine strokes ahead of No. 31 Texas and No. 13 Texas A&M. The 42nd-ranked Horned Frogs are at 586. The Bruins' Tiffany Lua, the nation's ninth-ranked player, has a 5-under 137 and is the individual leader by one shot over Demi Runas of UC Davis.
