AUSTIN, Texas -- Freshman Allyson Ferguson led TCU with a 79 as the Horned Frogs are tied for 11th after Monday's opening round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas.

The 29th-ranked Frogs shot a 33-over-par 321. TCU is just four strokes behind fifth place and No. 20 Notre Dame who carded a 317. No. 22 New Mexico sits atop the leaderboard with a 303 and a two-stroke advantage over fifth-ranked Florida.

Ferguson, a Houston native, is playing in just her second spring tournament. She birdied her 10th hole on the day. The lone Frog to shoot under 80, Ferguson is tied for 24th individually.
