TCU women's golf in third place after day one of Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas - The TCU women's golf team is in 3rd place and five shots off the lead after shooting a combined 15-over par 303 in the first round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club.

Junior Camille Blackerby is tied for fourth place after shooting a two-over par 74 in round one. Hailing from Breckenridge, Texas, Blackerby is coming off a 13th-place finish at the Texas A&M "Mo"Morial on Sunday.

Stacey Bieber, a junior from Winnipeg, Canada, sits in a four-way tie for 12th place after a three-over 75.

Elin Emanuelsson and Carrie Morris shot five-over par 77s to tie with four other golfers as part of a six-way tie for 22nd place. Emanuelsson finished in second place at the Texas A&M "Mo"Morial

Junior Catherine Matranga rounds out the Horned Frogs' day with a six-over par 78 to finish tied for 28th place heading into day two.

Round two is set to begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.
