TCU women's golf tied for second at Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team is tied for second, just three strokes behind leader Texas, after Friday's opening round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin.

The 27th-ranked Horned Frogs shot an 18-over-par 306 and are even with No. 24 Arkansas heading into Saturday's second round.

TCU's Camille Blackerby is at 2-over 74 to tie for fifth individually, five shots behind leader Kelley Louth of Texas who carded a 69.

Frog senior Catherine Matranga is in a deadlock for seventh after shooting a 75. Keyed by birdies on holes 10 and 12, the Fort Worth native posted a 35 on the back nine.
